Glasshouse Coffee Bar

Glass House Coffee opened in 2015, and has been a staple of the Whiteaker neighborhood ever since. In October of 2020 we were presented with the opportunity to take the space over when the previous owner decided to focus their energy on other ventures. At this point we had been roasting coffee for a few years and had a small market business in Portland, so decided to take the leap and try operating a cafe. We chose to keep the name the same as it had always been to honor the community and everyone who made that space what it was. The Glass House community embodies what we think a local coffee shop should be, and we intend to keep that community alive and thriving.

Our goal is to create a safe, equitable space that everyone in the community can utilize. We use this platform and space to showcase our high quality coffees, but at the end of the day the people who fill the space give value to the community and our goal is to support them.
